1. Document Requirements

As a DVLA-registered supplier, we are required to verify your identity and confirm your right to display the registration before manufacturing your number plates. This is a legal requirement to prevent fraudulent use.

What You Need to Provide:

You must send original documents to our address to verify your details.

Identification Documents (one required):

• Driving Licence (Full or Provisional)
• Utility Bill, Council Tax, or Rates Bill (dated within the last 6 months)
• Bank or Building Society Statement (dated within the last 6 months)
• National Identity Card

Registration Entitlement Documents (one required):

• Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C or V5CNI)
• New Keeper Supplement (V5C/2 or V5C/2NI)
• Certificate of Entitlement (V750 or V750NI)
• Retention Document (V778 – not applicable in Northern Ireland)
• Renewal Reminder for Vehicle Tax or SORN (V11 or V11NI)
• Temporary Registration Certificate (V379 or V379NI)
• Number Plate Authorisation Certificate (V948 or eV948)
• Letter of Authorisation from a Fleet Operator (including lease or hire companies, quoting the document reference number)

• You will receive an email confirmation once we receive and verify your documents.
• Your documents will be securely handled and returned with your order.
• We do not offer refunds. If documents are not received, refunds will not be issued.

2. Delivery Policy

Once we validate your documents, your number plates will be manufactured and dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked 24®.

Delivery Information:

• Delivery Time: Most orders arrive next working day, but please allow up to 2 working days depending on your location.
• Tracking: You will receive a tracking number to monitor your delivery.
• Notifications: Royal Mail provides email and SMS updates for added convenience.

Delivery Delays:

We strive to dispatch all orders promptly, but delays caused by postal disruptions or unforeseen circumstances are beyond our control.

3. Flags and Identifiers

You can customise your plates with legal flags and identifiers to showcase your identity while complying with DVLA regulations.

Available Options:

• Flags: Union Flag, Cross of St George, Cross of St Andrew (Saltire), Red Dragon of Wales
• Identifiers: UNITED KINGDOM, UK, ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, WALES, CYMRU

Placement & Compliance:

• Flags and identifiers must be positioned on the left-hand side of the plate.
• Their combined width must not exceed 50mm.
• All customisation must comply with DVLA standards.

4. Refunds Policy

Due to the custom nature of our number plates, all sales are final, and we do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or replacements under any circumstances.

Strict No-Refund Policy:

• Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
• Custom plates are unique and cannot be resold, making refunds impossible.
• Refunds will not be issued if you fail to provide the required documents.
• If you change your mind after placing an order, a refund will not be possible.

Customer Responsibility:

• Ensure you meet DVLA documentation requirements before ordering.
• Double-check registration number and plate design at the time of order, as mistakes cannot be rectified once production starts.
• By placing an order, you accept these refund terms.

5. Ensuring Legal 3D and 4D Plates

All 3D and 4D number plates supplied by EF Number Plates comply with DVLA and British Standard BS AU 145e regulations.

Legal Requirements:

• Reflective Material: Plates must be reflective for visibility, especially at night.
• Correct Colours:
  • Front plate: Black characters on a white background
  • Rear plate: Black characters on a yellow background
• No Background Patterns: To ensure clarity and compliance.
• Legal Markings: Must include:
  • Supplier’s name
  • Supplier’s postcode
  • British Standard number (‘BS AU 145e’)
• Character Rules: Must follow strict spacing, size, and single black shade guidelines.
